Brian Eno Calls On Support to Send Palestinian Solidarity Lullaby to UK Festive Top Spot.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a cultural melody to the top of the UK charts. The project aims to provide aid to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Chance for Solidarity and an "Chart Upset"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a chance to support Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I won't be completely disheartened if it fails to, Christmas singles are a unique phenomenon.”

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for many individuals,” Barghouti said. “It’s basically saying that I would choose to perish with honor than spend my life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we merit as a people.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The song was recorded following a large-scale benefit event held in September. First conceived to be done as a live recording, the performance was shelved during the concert due to the event running long.

The notable list of artists featured on Lullaby encompasses a group of prominent voices from the scene. All were part of the benefit event, which managed to collect a considerable total for relief efforts.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was brought to life by a team of talented individuals. The single features a fusion of the traditional Arabic lyrics with new English lyrics.

The team running the initiative have emphasized that their objective is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These resources will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure said. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Naturally, the greater the amount, the better. Every penny goes out to Gaza.”

The situation in the region was described as its extreme devastation, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a few million is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is first of all raising awareness for this issue and showing that another narrative exists.”

The song is launching on Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the solidarity show will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
