The House investigative committee has made public a collection of around 70 photos obtained from the property of former adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such release from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 images the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It features pictures of passages from the novel Lolita written across a female's body, and redacted images of women's overseas passports.

This release occurs hours before the 19 December cut-off for the Justice Department to release all files associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These latest photographs pose further questions about precisely what the DOJ has in its possession," remarked the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Several of the photos released on this week show Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates seen beside a woman whose face is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest wealthy, powerful men to be seen in Epstein estate photos published by the committee - previously published images also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Appearing in the images is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and a number of the featured figures have said they were never implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a statement released with the image disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate did not supply explanatory details or timings for the photographs.

"Photos were picked to furnish the public with openness into a representative sample of the photos obtained from the holdings, and to give understanding into Epstein's circle and his profoundly disturbing activities," the statement says.

The disclosure also includes a number of photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in dark ink across several locations of a woman's body, like her torso, feet, pelvis, and spine. Lolita narrates the tale of a minor who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the work written across a woman's torso reads, "Lolita: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of images of women's passports and ID papers from countries globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the data on the documents, like names and birth dates, is censored but the committee stated in a statement that the passports pertain to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

An additional photo features Epstein positioned at a desk intimately flanked by three individuals whose identities have been censored - a first has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his garment, and another is bending to view a nearby computer. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the third individual fasten a piece of jewelry.

A further photo disclosed is a image of digital messages from an unidentified person who states they have been supplied "several females" and are requesting "$one thousand dollars for each individual".

Image Disclosure Arrives Ahead of DOJ Cut-off

The panel has thousands of photographs in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "at once disturbing and everyday," its press release on recently explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate gave to the body are separate from what is commonly termed "the Epstein files". That material are papers within the DOJ's possession associated with its own investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President enacted in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its documents. The full nature of the contents contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's expected that much of the content will be extensively censored, comparable to House Oversight Committee releases
