The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
