Ways these Broncos together with their 'play-dough' quarterback could stop that Chiefs' dominance.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features text commentary for Sunday's games on various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary can be heard through select stations for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
It's week six in the football calendar , following recent discussion about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their perfect starts.
Notable in those games were the number of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially beat themselves having led 17-3 going into the final quarter against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this Sunday.
But it was positive to see how Denver quarterback the rookie was able to overcome that deficit and then lead three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game 21-17.
Denver boast the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, while the Eagles lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and Denver won that contest.
They executed the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending more than four pass rushers instead they might plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.
Early on of the season, we said on a program that Denver might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They finished last season strongly and excelled in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this season's dark horses?
New TE their tight end has excelled significantly while recent RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love how the coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.
This demonstrates that the Broncos are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since you can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable situations.
This has benefited QB the young passer, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert possess powerful arms to throw all over, however they lack the mobility that Nix has. He boasts exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.
His assets include his movement, being able to throw on the run, and using varied release points to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws across the middle or over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great poise under pressure and isn't bothered by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.
If you constantly rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defense has to defend the area downfield side to side. This proves draining.
Nix has bitten back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and I think Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a young quarterback who's similar to play-dough. The coach can really build something up the way he wants to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
The head coach has won a championship and now passed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having offensively is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB helps shape him into who he is.
There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.
Right now, I don't think Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to be in their division. The key is to continue this trajectory.
They excel at embracing their forte, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad yet to win a game.
Ever since the league started recording takeaways decades ago, the Jets are also the first team to go without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after a recent loss to Jacksonville.
Following the upcoming matchup, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.
In their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.
It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
